Sometimes we host events. Here’s some things we have done in the past:

BETA FEST

Beta Fest was a two-day festival in celebration of  ‘the unfinished play’ from Melbourne’s most established and emerging playwrights. Beta Fest aimed to create community, give audiences insight into the creative process, and generate interest in new writing.

READINGS

The goal of our Resident Playwrights is to write a first draft of a brand new script. If it suits the playwright, we hold a public reading of their play. Sign up to our mailing list, and follow us on social media for more information about upcoming public play readings.

BRECHTFAST CLUB

Brechtfast Club is a Performance Theory Book Club that meets periodically to talk Performance Theory. We usually meet in the mornings over brunch and coffee. We cover a range of material (we don't always talk about Brecht) and we are open to suggestions. We distribute performance texts via pdf download to read before the event. We know how busy artists are and aim for texts that can read in an hour, or less. OTHER STUFF
